If only Africans on the African continent could vote in the United States Elections

If only Africans on the African continent could vote, then the race for the White House would be a foregone conclusion.

Africans across the globe and Africans at home on the Continent are poised waiting anxiously to see the Democrats win the United States Elections.

Had it been any other election or any other candidate, most would not have been concerned. The stakes are high and the pressure is on!!

Obama is a son of Africa, he is appreciated by millions that have never met him but have heard his inspirational speeches. Many have followed his career path from an unknown two years ago to verge of a famous and historic victory.

Voter apathy is a genuine threat to Obama victory. Despite Obama’s lead in the pole the reality is that he would need all the support he can get – for what I expect must be a tense and nail biting experience for him and his family.

The American economy is in trouble, heavily in dept not to mention high expectations on issues of health care, housing and job creation. Globally how will he deal with Africa and the Middle East? Only time will tell for a Leader who has never managed a State but could be faced with global challenges that are pressing and urgent.

The truth is a win for Obama will without a doubt change the world. The real question is how will he mange the expectation of millions of people with a famous victory against numerous challenges both domestically and internationally?

Ayo please share with us what your take is on How He Will Change the World?

Obama is focused on negotiating and speaking with individuals and countries without conditions. That will stand him in good stead when he speaks to troubled leaders in Africa and the Middle East, especially on issues in relation to Iran, North Korea and Zimbabwe.

Yes, Africa is anxiously waiting then what next after the result? The road to OBAMA`s present success story was paved by the sacrifices with BLOOD, SWEAT & TEARS by others who had a dream yesterday for today. OBAMA was given the opportunity in his quest by the very same people and environment he today finds himself representing to the highest office in the land. He has got thus far by the constitution, the will and voice of the people of the USA making it possible for all within its bossom to fullfil his or her DREAMS. He has reached to climax this far by the contents of his mind, vision and character which should be the beacon and light of hope to the African people and its democracy copying by example, creating the same opportunities, conducive atmosphere for positive Africans and many OBAMA`S rising out of this experience and phenomenom to meet the challenges facing their various people in particular and the continent at in general. May the Spirits of Our Ancestors Take CONTROL!!!!!

From Sunday's Televised 'Meet the Press' Senator Obama was asked

about his stance on the American Flag. Obama Explains National Anthem Stance

Sun, 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST, General Bill Ginn' USAF (ret.) asked Obama
to explain why he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.

The General also stated to the Senator that according to the United States Code,
Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171... During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. At the very least, 'Stand and Face It'

Senator Obama Live on Sunday states,

'As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides,’ Obama said. 'There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing. If that were our anthem, then I might salute it.’

'We should consider to reinvent our National Anthem as well as to redesign our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It's my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we as a Nation of warring people, should conduct ourselves as the nations of Islam, whereas peace prevails. Perhaps a state or period of mutual concord between our governments.’

‘When I become President, I will seek a pact or agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation have placed upon the nations of Islam an unfair injustice.’

‘My wife disrespects the Flag for many personal reasons. Together she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past, many years ago. She has her views and I have mine. Of course now, I have found myself about to become the President of the United States and I have put aside my hatred.’

‘ I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path of hope. My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country's First Family. Indeed, CHANGE is about to overwhelm the United States of America.’

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you heard it right. This could possibly be our next President.

I, for one, am speechless.

Why do blacks want to be called African-American then, IF they are just American? Should I be called a Scots-Irish American?

Obama's father might have been born in Kenya, but that doesn't make him black! He is Arab... born to Arab parents - not black, not African!

If only the OP had the least bit of understanding of the word "sovereignty..."

When will these people get it? Our choice of leadership is not up to THEM.

Wow, suddenly, our forgotten ancestors spring to the fore! People, what is going on here?

But, you know...hold it, wait a minute...the "spirits of Our Ancestors Take CONTROL!!!!!"????

What is that supposed to mean? Which ancestors? who? what group of people? and what sacrifice by whom?

please, please, please...please...don't call forth things that have nothing to do with the man and his dreams...his ambitions, his visions...don't call forth any SPIRITS to do nothing they didn't, couldn't, dream of.

Let a brother enjoy the fruits of his labor.

It would be good to finally see a blk man seat in the highest place of office in the USA (some may think the world) but as far as I 'm concerned it is not about the colour of his skin it is about him representing and being the best man for the job than the opposition.

Is this the most ideal time for a brother to take that seat? I don’t think so, he will be inheriting the seat at the time when America is at its worst for the past century and I pray and hope that he has the back bone and tenacity to pull them out of it and that he will get the full support from all those around him to deliver and leave behind an outstanding legacy like the other so called brother Bill Clinton did when he was in office.

He needs to be seen as the right man for the job 1st and foremost and not a brother in office but mostly as someone who is in charge and needs to represent every US citizen and not just the blacks people. What most black folks need to recognise is that he needs our support and for us all to come correct more than we need him too. We must all pledge in giving full support to him in his quest and not just rely on the fact that since a brother is in office, we are just going to walk into the WHITE HOUSE and take what we want. Now is the time that we need to be working better together as a race and show how hard working and intelligent we are and all those doors that used to be shut on us was for the wrong reasons and that we are no less a race.

We should expect none of this outright favouritism but if a brother is above board and can match the ability of the next candidate then instead of before when the door will be automatically shut in his face, as of tomorrow they will begin to open and he or she will have as much entitlement to the piece of the pie but they have to represent all the way and all the time cause if they slip up they should be shown the door.

If I was in power I will show no nepotism but be quick in setting a clear example to those closest to me because that way the message is clearly understood that I will take no sh*t from no one especially my own flesh and blood because familiarity will bread content...

GOD BLESS HIM AND I WISH HIM THE BEST “IT’S NOT ABOUT LUCK IT’S ABOUT PLANNING, PREPARING AND PRACTICE”, THE RULE OF THE 3 P’S.
